Career

In 1998, her next album ‘Donde Estan los Ladrones’ was released. It has a rock in Spanish and has elements of Latin Pop music. This album became one of the best-selling Spanish-language albums. More than seven million copies of this album were sold worldwide.
In 2001, she entered the English-language market by releasing Laundry Service. “Whenever, Whenever” was at the top of the “U.S. Billboard Hot Latin Songs” as it had Latin rock and Latin pop.
Her album in Spanish, Fijacion Oral, Vol. was distributed in June 2005. Then her English album “Oral Fixation, Volume II” was released.
Shakira’s single “Hips Don’t Lie” was number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and this song became her signature song.
